Hey guys, finally got my car together and started up and she's running pretty good so far. Had an oil/fuel leak but got em taken care of and oil pressure is good(40+). Only thing is that the A/F is at 20 on my apexi tt, which is the highest it reads, and the green light is flashing. Now the clamp on my turbo intake pipe that hooks up the AFM is loose because the clamp is broke and wont tighten. Is that the problem? If not, how can i get it down?

Need to know more.

Is this a stock TCCS + 440s setup? Stock O2 still hooked up? How does it sound idling? I've never seen a gas engine idle with a 20:1 AFR ;)

Might be a problem in the WB you have.

My guess is that you are not reading A/F. Either tapped the wrong wire, or that TT is just really bad.

It has 550s, lexus AFM, and many others. It was working right the first time and it's idleing fine, the af is just crazy high. I just got a new clamp and im going to put it on and fire it to see where its at. And ya, that's the tt.

ive got an aem to have installed this week, probably friday.
"550's+lex=/=20:1 afr"
what exactly do you mean by this because before i did the rebuild my af was 14.7 always. I just hooked it back up and am wondering if somethings just wrong.

Okay well i took the car out and boosted it a little and the af dropped down to 15.6 then strayed back and forth from there to 20. When i pulled back in the driveway the af went back to 20. I also had to really alter the distributor because the guy who set the timing really fucked up. We had to move it down about 3/4-1" to get it to idle and run good. Also, when i boosted it, i got to like 8 and then the car seemed to fall its face even though the boost climbed to 10-11. I had the car setup for a T61 but upgraded to a pte67dbb and im going to get a tune from SP with my aem (not installed yet), is this why it seemed to lose power. Oh and i also got 680cc injectors waiting at sp and im gonna get rid of my 550s.

You're boosting around in a car which may have a fuel supply issue?! Are you angry at the car or what? Get your WB in there and see what's really going on... you could end up doing some nasty damage.

Dude,

Unless you have a wideband, your AF readings mean next to nothing.

I was told to start it and let it run, then check the turbo, since it's brand new, for shaft play. I was also told to then take it down the street once or twice and boost a little, like i did, and then come back and check for shaft play in the turbo again to make sure that it was good. That's all i was doing, not even half throttle.

That's fine... I wouldn't do it but, like everyone's said, NB AFR readings are often further off than a blind guess. ;)

Sounds like you need to go focus on your timing a little. Is it just me or is anyone else catching that?

Also, you say you keep moving your distributor (your CPS) are you putting the ECU in diagnostic mode first? If not, youre only fucking shit up more.
