How do i do that? Put it in diagnostic mode?

open the diag box on the harness and use a paperclip to jump the e1 and te1 terminals check the tsrm on cygenus for a picture. the ports should be at a diagonal from each other its either t1 or te1 i dont remember but i know which one it is when i look. after you do that and start the car the check engine light should flash continuously that means you have no engine codes

ohhhh, ya i can do that, that's how we fixed my dads car. Now the check engine light comes on if we rev the engine to 3k, but if i shut if off and turn the car back on, then the lights off. But i dont understand how id be messing stuff up if it's not in diagnostic mode, do i need to leave the clip in the box?
