Grim all it is, is a 91-92 dipstick from our cars. The end is easier to read. Thats the only difference.

I beg to differ the Pre89 Dipstick is by far the easiest dip stick to read. My friend has the new dipstick from toyota and we use mine when hes not sure.

I have a 92 NA but the dipstick is just as hard to read as the others...

I have a 92 and I don't think my dipstick looks like that. I just know mine is hard to read and I have to dab it on a rag just to see the level. Anyone have a picture of the old style dipstick?

Time to replace mine, came from an 87 and It's BLACK from the oil in the engine it came from. What's the matter with me.

Even if this thread isn't letting anyone in on anything new or useful, It's still reminding us to replace ours.. thanks!

I didn't have trouble reading my 88's dipstick. Someone should get a pic of them side by side to show the exact differences.

So what does it mean when the oil level is showing about an inch above the Full mark when the sump is empty and with 4.4l in it?
