Mine is the top style, and I have a 92. The engine was never replaced that I know of so I'm a bit confused why I have that style. Either way, I'll have to keep a look out for the other type. I never knew those existed

Found out that my friends 92 7MGTE had a japanese motor. WTF . The part number on my Reciept is for the Dipstic on the Bottom which is the one I ordered from Toyota .Im happy with the New ONE it works BEST .

No way all the black handled ones are hard as hell to read. The pre89 flat stick is by far the easiest to read it just dont look pretty being yellow and all.

My 92 had the same dipstick as 92nsx, so if your 92 does not have that style, I think it was changed by a previous owner. I also happen to think the 91/92 style is easy to read.

i have the one pictured as super easy to read and like hvyman said the flat yellow handled type is so much easier, though that is what i had on my NA and i dont know if it was offered for the turbo version. It is just a flat piece of steel with a line for low and full, plain as day to read, doesnt use the stupid wire mesh cable type design.

Just a heads up. Price on these jumped to $50 and some change. They don't know why, but it's the most expensive dipstick I've ever bought.

I just stuck mine in the mill vise a drilled a small hole (not thru) at F and E marks... the oil collects in the hole if it's up to that point.
