bit of an update...

just got back from aushose with some earls fittings for the bosch fuel pump install this weekend. Still no good news on the wheels yet, but hopefully getting close to finding the right adaptor.

pics of the how the fuel pump will be setup in the tank

IJ chime in if that should be sufficient with that bulkhead to seal the top..

very nice works on those gauges ....;)

thanks man, still want to put the water temp gauge in place of the stock one also but its a 60mm bezel so will require a little more work.

Ill post more pics as I get more done.

finally finished modifying my fuel pump hanger to accomodate the massive bosch unit.

I had to remove the standard feed pipe, then drill out the top for the bulkhead fitting. Lastly I had to remove a section of the hanger itself to allow the 45 degree AN fitting to clear.

All in all I am pretty happy with the job. I am running 12 gauge wiring for my relay and pump, I was just wondering if I had to change the in-tank wiring to match the gauge?

yeah the a1000 is a huge pump!

I could see how the 45's would be avoidable with a pump that size.

Its only 1 45 degree bend as it stands, hopefully wont have to use one outside the hanger on the feed hose.

1x 90 degree bend = 10 feet of straight line of the same size restriction wise

45's are better and sweeps in both better again. ;)

shit, its a 90 not a 45.... :(

and again, i couldnt see a way around it with a pump this size.

well my fluid dynamics go as far as gravity making it fall lol, no i can imagine how it would work but i was just curious. i figure that with the amount of pressure behind it that it really wouldnt matter. now if goals were higher and there was alot of fuel being used, then i could see it being a possible issue. i guess ill have to make a animation in 3dsmax using my fluid software to see how the difference live
