"Streetable" is a relative term....

In the late 80's I drove a backhalved, 1978 Monte Carlo with a 572 cu in big block, roots blower, 9" ford rear, a 4 link and wheelie bars. It only ran on aviation fuel, had Moroso Trick Drag front tires (3" wide) and Mickey Thompson Sportsman's out back (damned near 2' wide)...

It didn't turn very well... But it was a freakin' blast to drive in a straight line.

I drove it to work every day. I've mellowed a bit over the years. :D

Still, even now what I consider "streetable" might be your worst nightmare. ;)

Moved to video section.

A "Street" car is a term we get all the time where I live. The track opens and we get guys calling their 7 second cars a daily driver and are true street cars. Streetable to me means that you could drive it to the insurance company and have no issues or drive on a long trip like 8 or more hours without a worry and without issues. A tubbed car is definitely not a street car IMO.

Anybody know why I can't play any videos from that website on both my XP and Windows 2000 computers? The site comes up but there is no video screen at all.

I would do the same, if that were available to me. I guess what I was more or less trying to get at was this; Would that Supra run on pump gas? Would it be reliable enough to drive cross country, in all sorts of weather conditions?

Now those are the only things that I was trying to get at when I had said streetable. I myself would have no problems going light to light in a mean machine such as this Supra... or even your old Monte. Most people these days determine streetability on whether or not they can simply take their car through a drive through at a fast food joint or not... so I was only trying to use a term that most people are familliar with.

Oh and as far as a vehicle possibly being my worst nightmare.. if they are anything like what you stated your old Monte was... I would gladly welcome that nightmare.

Being that Puerto Rico is a US territory, they probably use MPH. I'll check since I am going out there on Friday. ;-)

I looked more into where that video came from. It is some group from Puerto Rico... so I would assume that its not 144mp/h... but 144km/h.

It really is making sense now. lol.
