After weeks of searching I found a straight almost rust free 1987 Targa NA in southern Jacksonville, the price was right and I brought her home October 12th 2010.

Finished tear down and started working on the engine bay. Removed battery tray, sanded and painted gloss black.

During the work I had been doing lots of research on different swap options. I was initially split between a JZA70 clip or a VVTI 1JZ / R154 combo, until I came upon a great deal on a vvti that came with r154, Haltech Sport 1000, 4" intercooler and all piping, 3" down pipe, drive shaft, and new clutch, belts.

Thanks man

Well I cleaned the front cross member for hours and reinstalled, just looked like shit next to the gloss on the bay, so

Thew the brake system back in and decided I wanted to see the engine sitting in the bay and figure out where I need to cut for the shifter.

Looks amazing man, I was always curious about swapping a vvti 1j into a mk3. I'ma have to stick around and see how this works out.

I'm running the Haltech Platinum Sport 1000. Been working lots lately still trying to iron out some bugs in the tune, fuel seems to be off at idle and some ignition issue >4500 in boost
