You're not listing any info on either car other than the turbo and pressure on the Rx7. Is it still rotary powered? Anyhow, considering that he weighs ~2/3 of what your car weighs, you've got an uphill battle ahead of you. Unless you were to change out for some more aggressive gearing toward the acceleration side of things, you're gonna need a good deal more power than he has...

4 car lengths is a LOT. To beat that, you'll need to shave off *more* than 4 car lengths. A 50 shot isn't going to cut it. Hell, a 100 shot probably wouldn't either. The danger is inside the engine - do you have a built motor to lean on? If not, you're going to need one - if you want it to last, anyway.

Personally, I'd build the engine for much higher power - forged internals, basically - upgrade the fuel system to about double what it looks like you've got there, scrap the upgraded CT and go for a bigger turbo with an external wastegate, ditch the alphabet soup electronics and move to a real standalone, upgrade the brakes, suspension, and tires, and then give it another go.

To overcome the distance with that heavy supra is going to take a lot more HP. The RX7 is light and those rotary engines spin up to 8K rpm quick. Hope you have a low rear differential such as a 3.42 and change it out for a 4.30 LSD unit.

Oddly, this doesn't seem to help. Randy recently swapped from... 373 to 411, as I recall, and his car got slower in the 1/4. Not sure why, but that's what happened.

I am planning to forge the engine n so forth but one question since i do not live in a country where there is a Dyno would a standalone be a better move lets say the AEM EMS tuned on the street via loggs or just using a Piggy Back system lets say the MAFT Pro what would you recomend? also do you know of any shops or stores that specialize in 7MGTE's and building them to customers needs specifically in the miami florida area since it would be cheaper for shipping? or should i just do the build up myself with the help of my father who's a qualified toyota tech and use of local machine shops?
