well, i finally got the supra back from the shop which took about 10 months and my na-t swap is finally done! but as you could imagine, ive already got problems. the clutch in it is almost gone and its time for a new one. ive still got the w58 so i need a non turbo clutch, and i was looking for any suggestions on which clutch to buy. i want it to be capable of holding power but also streetable. any help would be appreciated

I am running a 6puck ceramic and a heavy duty pressure plate i had mine built by a desiel truck clutch place ( i hope that made sense) it costed me like 250 total. It grabs and goes no issues so far with over 10,000 miles on it :)

Congrats on the swap, but you really should have put a new clutch in while they had it apart. Don't forget to post us up some videos of your car with it's new found testicles...............:naughty:

i have used centerforce in my last car, and currently have an exedy in my 88 turbo. i like them both but would rather have a centerforce again. it seemed to grab a bit better. both used for street and strip with no problems.

I have the centerforce dual friction on my W58. Holds power up to 16psi on the ct26-60. 16psi was 340whp on my car.

I actually don't know what clutch i used for mine, im using a 7mgte flywheel as asposed to the GE which are you using and i just took the lot in to get the flywheel skimmed and a clutch to suit that would fit the W series spline.. took them all of 5mins to have that all done.. are you using the GE or GTE flywheel? if your using the GE one yeah.. you may want to go puk clutch setup.. not expensive for clutches these days if you install them yourself. IMO

im using the ge flywheel, what kind of puck clutch setup? ive heard alot of people suggest centerforce dual friction but i checked it and i couldnt find how much horsepower it would be able to handle. im goin for 400 at the wheels so i need something that can handle that but also streetable.

well, right now, the clutch is holding up really good...i dont know what it was, but it turns out that its just fine. go figure.....i guess it just needed to get used to its new "testicles" as suprahero puts it.:biglaugh: but right now i gotta work out a few bugs, ive been doing alot of searching on the forum and "RTFM" before i bring it up, so i dont look like such a noob at all this.

one thing i will let everyone know....if you live in NC, DO NOT take your car to East Coast Performance....there i got that off my chest.:3d_frown:
