okay im now waiting on the isvc to come in i already had one ordered but i never thought that it would cause this. i came to this conclution that both of the iscv were bad after swaping thme both out and getting codes for them both. will let you know the status after i get the new one.

as far as vacuum leaks that you cant find with starting fluid, my stock blow off valve had a bad diaphram. replaced and she idles so low i can barely tell its running now..sooo much nicer!

25mpg on the trip back, and that was sitting in some traffic, boosting a good 10 times passing people and a hitting a lot of stop lights. ill see what city driving gets me now, but 25mpg on a boosted 20yr old car...cant beat that

before you throw anymore money at this, a very easy test on the iscv is when you turn it off, it will make a few clicks, no clicks = junk.

when you got the new iscv did you replace the diaphram and gasket? this is a must and a probable cause to high idle. i got my kit from dealer, less than 20 bucks. i have also run across my tps being out of adjustment causing idle fluctuations. this MUST be adjusted correctly.

other than this, if you are 100% positive you have NO VACUUME LEAKS and your timing is correct per tsrm (jump the two connectors on port) then im at a loss at the moment.

i forgot, i dont believe your mafs will cause this, i think it will just flat out not run without it, just went to my car, unplugged it, and it didnt start. lol

I just fixed my idle problem. After a complete engine rebuild, my intake manifold gaskets had a vacuum leak. I sprayed carb cleaner and the idle smoothed out. Try seeing if you have the same problem.

ok will do but that still dont solve the cutting out problem my idle has always been high at 1000. but it just ecently started cutting out in and out of boost. i will do the click test that is refered to up 2 posts. i unplugged my AFM and it stilll ran. ran just as bad to lol.

if you unplugged it and it made no change in the behaivor of your engine, this is wrong. i would check if it is functioning......mine stumbles badly and dies. if i try starting it unplugged, it sputters and starts cussing at me. :biglaugh:
