cool. so you have done a NA T conversion aswell.....how do you find it? Iam making mine so i can run NA for the time being till I get a oil cooler kit...just cap off oil drain etc.... as installing the single turbo CT 26 wont be that hard....at this stage ill be getting my MA70 working then ill upgrade the GA70 to a 7MGTE also :) 7MGE/GTE = LOVE

Also Ian whilst its NA is it best to run the 1GGTE oil filter adaptor with water cooling or just leave it the way it is till i can get a cooler?

i would recommend that peice for the adapter, thats the one i used, plus a the other things i listed, i would use a simple oil cooler not the coolant-oil cooler, apparently its a lot of load on the allready stressed cooling system.

the build wasn't to bad at all, i just had to wait for parts lots being in this damn town, all and all well worth it i hit full boost at like 2700rpm-on a poor tune:biglaugh:
tons o fun

thats the website..sorry.

thermostats are good so you dont get over cooling, not very good for the oil or engine. the filter adapter is good, one its a perfect fit for our ge blocks, and its gives you lots of room for the hit pip off the turbo in the future. i just left that plate on. i think i got some pics of my setup if you wanna see them.

I only drove the car for a day before I stored it. It seemed to run fine.

I might get it back on the road this weekend, not sure.

As far as specs, it's just an all stock 7mge, using stock 7mgte electronic parts.

ive decided to go NA as this 7M is just far to good to turn into 7MGTE......Block and heads are mint engine was replaced by toyota 3years at a cost of $3695 for a Long motor and misc bits and pieces = $2700 all up this old guy spent just over 6K on rebuild. i suspect a new BLOCK and heads!!...regardless..with the oil drain in the block do drill from the outside and also do i have to drill up from under the block? i took the rear sump off the GTE and theres a "hole" all the way to the drain would the NA have that.

Also engine stands what is a good CHEAP one to get would 250kg hold up the complete engine....

I too have a couple of the cheap $29 stands. They sag.

I once bought a $48 one from Kragen in a pinch and it was 10x better. You can see the extra bracing and beefier mounts.

"get what you pay for" was true that day.

I want one of those killer ones with the little crank on it so you can easily turn the motor as seen on TV.

everything is coming together ok now another question....I dont have the resistor pack and since its NA with 7MGTE electronics(KARMEN AFM, 7MGTE ECU, Knock sensor x2 wire to 1 sensor, Ignitor Coilpacks) Can I use the 7MGE injectors? they are mint condtion
