Shims from the dealer, are about 7.00 a piece, IIRC. Multiply that by the # of shims you need. I've seen that you can use some motorcycle shims instead, which are cheaper, but I can't remember which brand at the moment.

An automotive style stethoscope will definitely work better than a screwdriver.

Yep, thats Andrews car, he's running a fully built 2jz 3.0, with GT47-88 and a straight pipe with DP 4.5 and then 5 inch all the way Straight pipe. I've sat in it last year, it's stupid fast!!!
