Im going to have to suspend the motor and drop the subframe to remove the oil pan. The stock sized oil filter fits on the block without hitting. Im going to swap my oil pump to a gte oil pump while im in there.

Pics not showing up for me. I just picked up an N/A block in great shape- going N/A->T on it for my Pickup. ;)

The headache i was talking about for gte elctronics is the decision of what to do with the extra knock sensor. NA-T, in my opinion, is a waste of money because you are limited by reliabilty of that motor. Simply swapping in the 7mgte pistons, new set is like $130, will allow you to turn up the boost much more reliably.

Again, it all comes down to preference. If I was building a Supra for just scooting around town, I'd use something more along the lines of the N/A's compression ratio for more low end grunt, both in and out of boost. You can easily pigtail the signal wires into two outputs to satisfy the ECU. It's a non issue. Drilling the block for two KSs is also a non issue, so either way works. Many people prefer N/A->T simply because they know the history of their N/A motor.

I, for example, looked for an N/A block on purpose because the motor is going in my 4x4 Pickup. I wanted more low end, off boost torque. I only plan on 300-350rwhp, which can easily be done, both safely and reliably.

I have been looking at the rear knock sensor and have no idea on how to tap it with the engine in. Maybe I can find a bung and lightly weld it on for now? But then I could also just tap the front one and use the middle one too. Any opinions?

It would be tough with the engine in the car. You could always pigtail the signal wire near the ECU to feed both KS inputs. That works fine.
