one quick thing.
There are two type of anodization that are most common (really three). The normal one that allows for color is a type II anodization. This is NOT the hard anodization that IJ. is talking about. The Type III anodization is the hard anodization and comes only in one color and that is black.

can be dyed DARKER colors as the process for Type III basically darkens the metal.
