Sorry for the horrible pics, still have a broken worthless camera...
So I took Amy up to the dyno shop today. It is a dyno dynamics.I last ran on a dynojet in April 2008, made 155whp and 175ft/lbs
We started the day at 152.5whp and 175ft/lbs, pretty much the same #s I saw on the dynojet in April '08. Still running a little rich, despite the fact I had already leaned the afm back one notch a few days ago.
Leaned the afm back 2 more clicks, gained more hp, to 161hp. Leaned it out even 2 more clicks and advanced the timing just slightly more (16BTDC from 14BTDC) and made 164.5whp and 188ft/lbs
After 4700rpms, tuning the AFM is useless, it falls back into the same rich mode regardless.
For those who are unaware, this dyno was on a 7500mile 6MGE, bored .030" over with an intake, header, exhaust. The cam timing is stock, the cams are stock, the head has NOT been ported, stock throttle body, no power steering drag
So I gained roughly 12hp and 13ft/lbs by LEANING the afm out...
