How about porting the head? Sorry if you have a build thread and I didn't read. Since you don't want to go into electronics yet.

Or the 7M head, since you have your car running like it is supposed to, unlike so many here.

nice numbers.. I wonder how the 7m head to the 6m (same as 5M right?)

ew.

and

EWWWW!

First, I despise, DESPISE the 7M head. If it doesn't have a FFIM, it looks uglier than sin IMO. Soooooo not interested.

Also, I don't see 7MGE dynos out there looking very nice, I know most are beat to death, but really now. I can only think of three 7MGEs that make 200+rwhp, all the rest are 160whp and lower. 12 more valves doesn't necessarily mean it is any better, at least not for a naturally aspirated application.

Why would I spend the time, money and effort to hack up my wiring harness, and changing my pistons for little or NO gain at all??

My goals:

to make as much hp as possible with STOCK head. stock porting, stock cams, stock valves.

to make as much hp as possible with mostly stock EFI system

to make as much hp without having to go standalone/piggyback/wtfever

What I left to do:

I still have more tuning to do, which is why I am installing an AFPR and going back to the dyno for adjustments.

I still need to upgrade to a 3" exhaust

Ignition? MSD? something stronger than stock...

adjustable cam gears, for advancing the intake and retarding the exhaust just a hair

75mm throttle body, dremel out casting in the AFM for slightly better flow

Stock is boring :(

^^ thats kinda what I'm getting at, that the 6m head setup is better. The 6m seems to make more torque and make similar hp.

The torque is MMMMmMmmMmmMmmm.... over 160ft/lbs at 2,000rpm, 188ft/lbs at 4000rpm and 160ft/lbs at peak hp around 5200...... and 135ft/lbs at redline....is sooo nice :D
