does anyone have an opinion on whether or not a 600rwhp mkiii will out run a new zo6. i know the that the z06 doesnt have 600rwhp but its lighter than the mkiii. i was just wandering about the whole power to weight ratio deal with that. im asking because im building my supra to 600rwhp at least, and a friend of mine at work just went and bought a zo6. i want to know if my car will be able to outrun him or not. tell me what some of you guys think.

If you have six hundred rwhp and can get good traction and you know how to drive, you will beat him. You'll have to be running race gas for six hundred rwhp and he will be on pump, so you won't be able to outrun him every time. A z06 is a bad aminal.

600rwhp is a big difference compared to 500bhp... that is all. Given both drivers are good no reason why the supra shouldn't win hands down every time provided also has good enough tires.

This topic is really vague. It depends on if you can get traction or not. If you can, you'll win and if you can't, you'll lose.

just remember after he loses to a almost 20 year old car thats a six cyl he's going to get a few bolt on's for the Z06 and he's going to beat you badly and your going to feel like shit because you put more hart and hard work into your car.

so this is why you should never build a car for other people or just to beat somone.Build it for your self. But I mean if building a supra and beating Z06's is your thing than do it I would:naughty:

p.s. I realy think this could be done but if I were you I would go with a 2J! it's your best bet

600hp vs 505hp.

MKIII Curb Weight ~ 3500lbs. 5.83 lbs/hp

Z06 Curb Weight ~ 3132lbs. 6.02 lbs/hp

If they didn't change anything, then the Z06 gearing should be a 3.42 rear axle + 2.66 1st gear (T56)

The MKIII will be using either a 3.73 or 3.91 + 3.25 first.

MKIII wins in power/weight, and gearing. Therefore, MKIII wins as long as MKIII has the 'Driver Mod' ;)

And that's for 600 crank horsepower. 600 RWHP would probably win even easier, assuming traction+driver mod are applied :)

mk3 will lose. You'll top out at 170 and he'll walk away.

is that so? I've seen a roundup of 'supercars' (was in German) and the Z06 just sux top end... like baddly (as far as 'time it takes to get there..'). It is up there with a Carrera GT off the start and falls of the face of the earth in 5th,6th gear...

If you're purely doing unlimited mile eventual winner races, yeah the Z06 will win... but other than that given the power figures don't see why it should win as long as like mentioned the Driver Mod is enabled on the Supra.

505bhp about %18 loss from crank to wheels = 414.1rwhp

If you can handle the car properly...well yea hes going to need the 3 car length.

Doesn't the saying go "HP sells cars, torque wins races"?

I doubt either of you will be able to control that much power, and I predict a serious crash.
You're talking about some insane HP, that does weird things to cars like making them jump of cliffs.
You should come down to earth...
