anyone have an expereince with a 60-1 on a 1jz? Theres a local guy that has a 60-1 that I can pick up fairly cheap, just want to see if anyone has one and how it responds.. I'm looking for fairly quick spool and good power on 18 psi (400 is plenty).. Its going to be my daily driver for a little bit, so want it fast reacting. It has a .81 a/r on it (comming off an rx7) but I have a t67 that has a .70 (both p trim) that I'll switch out on it, since I want a .81 on my t67 for my 2jz anyways.. so works perfect..

Hoping I can get 18 psi before 4k, think itll happen? My .70 t67 on my 1j got 18 psi by like 4400..

I think you can do it, but I"m no turbo expert..........hell, I'm no expert at anything.............:biglaugh:

That would definately be a fun DD though. I don't get to drive my car as much as I'd like. I'm either working on my car or working on someone else's house. Either way I don't get to drive it except at night or on weekends...........:nono:

Thats what I'm thinking, hopfully it should come on fairly quick.. I actually wanted to try a 57 trim t3/t4 with the t3/t4 manifold, but this is a pretty good deal on the turbo, plus its the E cover (i think 4/2.5) so looks better..

57 trim would spool faster, but how much horsepower do you want to make? t3/t4 60-1 would probably be able to get into the 450whp range, but I don't think much more then that. :dunno:

I'm not looking for much.. would like 400 on pump.. then up it on some racegas and have fun (450-500 would be awesome)

The name of the game is cheap. I would perfer to get a t4, but New t3/t4 turbos were much cheaper (~ 550-600 shipped).. this turbo is cheaper, not to mention I get the .81 a/r housing for my t67 to put on my 2jz later..

so it looks like you already made yur decision get the t4 60-1 cheaper and it has the other shiz you want. two birds with one stone mang

lol yea, have lots of other things to do before i get the 1jz running.. bellhousing, fw(got a line one one), oilpan (got a line on one), then wire the 2jz harness up for the mkiii so ican put the 1jz harness on the 1j,, lol...

yea. i'm peice my other 91 back together with my extra 1jz.. twins are dead on it i'm sure (in/out play) so just going to go single.. yea a local guy has a 62-1 as well, will talk to him about it tonight..

so i'll have all 3 engines for a little bit, lol..
