your going to need more than just walbro, and fuel injectors. i would say a new dp and exhaust. and boost controller is needed if you want to raise the boost on the turbo. oh yea and safc so you dont run lean and rich. and a FCD from hks. yea you will need a little money to go 300rwhp. stock 7m-gte is like 230hp and 1j is around 280hp.

intake, full 3" catless exhaust, stock intercooler, piping, 170,000mi stock ct26, AUTOMATIC, 8psi i put down 240hp so 300 on the stock CT26 is not a stretch IMHO. Will it live very long? doubtful, but you didnt ask that, also depends on what kind of condition it's in before you start boosting hard on it.

Also I am only getting 250whp at 12psi and holding all the way through the RPMs. My torque is at 315 I want to get my HP up to the 280 mark do I need to up my boost or do something else.

250rwhp @ 12psi on stock CT-26?

Sounds about right...give or take your modifications.

NO. Do not turn the boost up.

With a nearly stock car, maxxing out your boost is only pushing your envelope open further and further.

With a FULL 3"+ exhaust, no cats/resonators, 3" downpipe and an integrated elbow or at least a ported elbow, Open element air filter, 12psi and a healthy motor and turbo, 300rwhp is definately doable...

But you've got to understand that once you start building that type of power, at that output level of boost, your Air Fuel mixture will only want to get mixed up worse and worse on a stock motor/turbo.

Cliff - Can you obtain 300rwhp w/o Fuel control and stock turbo? YES
Can you SAFELY obtain 300rwhp w/o Fuel control and stock turbo? Negatory.

-Jeff

****EDIT EDIT EDIT****

What does "Modded stock AFM" mean?

Have you backed out your unmetered air flow screw?

YES! Of course!

More flow pressure is always going to be more horsepower.

Also, FYI, fuel cut is measured by how much air is being pulled in, not how much boost you're running...so on a stock turbo, you might hit fuel cut at 14psi, but with say a .57 trim CT, you'll be likely to hit fuel cut at like 11psi just because the .57 trim at 11psi flows the same amount of air at 14psi on the stocker.

Make sense?

266HP 292TQ 115kmi stock motor, stock turbo, stock exhaust, 115kmi cat converter, stock ic and piping (rigged lower ic hose) @ 11-12psi. basically an all stock 89 with an mbc. 300 is definately possible

I noticed that you didn't put down that you had an aftermarket intercooler. This would be the next thing I would go with to keep the charge temps. down ;). If you want to FREE up HP (emphasis on the free) get a lightweight flywheel and driveshaft (you will probably be needing a new clutch soon if you haven't done so already). Time for a wideband too if you're starting to push the envelope with those stock injectors.

Do you have an APFR? If not, get one ;).

^^^rich just had to ruin the fun

I've put 25k daily driven miles on that motor running the way it is every day...super(a) haha reliable. I just turned the boost down for the winter. Ran great ar's on the dyno. 40+ passes at the drag track as well.

Also I know I'm around 270-280whp on a somewhat fresh stock turbo @ 10-11psi

Kent, Oh
My ct was brand new, ran it at 18 to 20 psi with stock intercooler, 12.60's in the 1/4 mile with the peashooter.

My 7m made 300whp at 11psi with the only mods being a 50 trim ct26, k&n drop in fliter, and an exhaust system (stock elbow), and a boost controller.

Then it made 370whp/395tq at 20psi after I upgraded the intercooler, 550's, elbow, and added the origional maft with the 3" gm maf in the accordian pipe.
