2nd gear issues

New development today. I tried driving the car and found it hard to get in to a bunch of gears now. I thought that maybe one of the plugs didn't get tightened enough and the tranny was leaking, but there was no signs of any leak at all. I did find however that if I pushed the shift knob down towards the tunnel as I was shifting, it was much easier to change gears. Is there a bushing or spring of some sorts that might be worn and the source of these issues?

There are two bushings in side, im sure you need to change them. You can get them on driftmotion.com, when I changed mine the rubber washer inside was in little tinny pieces...lol.
I have the nashman short shifter and down shifting into seconds is a pain in the ass, but it goes in everytime.
I also use MT90....

Do I get to them just by taking off the shifter? Where abouts are they?

EDIT: So I take the shifter off to check the condition of those bushings and find 3 of the 4 bolts not threaded at all, and the last bolt barely hanging on to the extension housing....:nono:

All this because the shifter wasn't bolted in properly. Don't I feel like a moron

Ya that will do it, while your there you might as well replace the bushing and washer, makes a world of difference.
