Hi,
Planing to sell my mk3 and get a sedan, cause my family got bigger:icon_bigg
Looking for is200 or gs300 and I`m shure that I`ll go for 2jz gte.
What I need is list of parts needed to get the job done, to begin buying needed parts.
I dont wont to have stock JDM output, but USDM (330bhp) is fine for me
not shure what differences they have (injectors, cams, ecu, turbos I think)
Will use automatic trans, dont want to mix the gears anymore.
With the gs300 I think that it would be no problem at all, if I buy engine with harness, ecu and gearbox. Will it work as plug and play ?

Thanx in advance.

Sagib.

with the gs300 (2jz-ge stock) go na-t is not really good idea, my opinion, gte engine with stock twins is fine for me, gte engine allso has metal HG in standard.

is200 has inline 6
is200rs JDM has inline 4 with 200hp, not available in europe. shame.

If you go with a GS300, its will be easier.
If you get a pre 97 Model, then you get a engine set for a jzs147 ( Aristo ) and it basically drops in.
If you have a left hand drive car, then all you have to do is extend each and every wire in the harness an extra 18 inches approximately. Everything else just plugs right in.
I have already done this setup.

For the newer model GS300, you will need to get the corresponding engine from a JDM Aristo and that engine is a VVti one. it will still drop right in just like above, but not sure how much wiring work is needed. maybe minimal.

For IS200, I know the engine drops in because US ones came with the 2jzge and the mounts and everything is same. ( use the ARISTO engine ) . Wiring may be different however, because the once I've seen were running an AEM.

now I`m shure that it `ll be 02 GS300, LHD
but there are only NON vvti JDM engines avaliable on the market right now, if only I knew where to get one USDM VVTi auto with harnes and ecu.

Need more instructions, how to make it work and what problems I`ll be facing.

I was on club lexus when I had my gs300 , the problem with lexus gs300 altogether is about 95% people who drive lexus gs300's think a performance modification is a sound system that shakes houses and some 20 inch rims with lots of chrome, thats what drove me away from my lexus gs300. I vote you go the is200/is300/is350 route the is crowd is more performance oriented...
