I hope you don't think I'm making negative comments, as I'm just pointing out the obvious. (At least how I see it.)

What exactly did you plan to do with this upper manifold?

I was not trying to say " you " yourself were putting out negative comments, i am saying any constructive criticism is welcomed. I always liek to hear the bad things or complications that may occur with this project.

I would like to weld the lower intake manifold to this, I will have to do cutting, but the stock lower runner is aluminum, and this is.. a different metal, steal so I may have to start from the ground up with this.. We'll see.

I see.
I didn't look closely or read details about the upper manifold you bought, is it steel?

If so, that's just another monkey wrench... You're going to need to make the transition from the lowers to this one with 6 different angled flattened pipes to re align them since the lower runners are not circular.

That's just one way.

Yeah, it's going to be hell if it is made out of steal or some sort o f metal that the lower runner will not work with! But hell I like to make things hard for myself as you can see this far, I have so many parts for this car I need to start putting things together.

I actually did exactly what you are thinking of here.

I got the lower runners for both the 2j and the 7m, alot of cutting and aluminium welding but you essentially end up with a "adapter" runner of sorts that allows you to bolt any 2j intake up to your 7m head.

I still have that runner here somewhere I think, not using it since I decided to do a 2j swap instead.

Yeah, I know there is a lot of work ahead here. It really is good though people have tried this though. It will be a fun little thing to start hope it comes in on Friday at the latest.

steel?

How exactly are you going to weld that to the stock ALUMINUM lower running? What type of welder do you have access to?

And lastly, how long do you think it will take to weld that up CORRECTLY? Regardless of what most everyone here things, TIME IS MONEY.

but money is not time....you think it would work both ways, but it doesn't!

actually it is. Only time it is not is when your number is up as no amount of money will get you out of that.

Now as for money is time. Sure it is. That when you pay someone else and they do the work for you while you take care of whatever it is that you need ;)

Money just got YOU time for x. ;)

Ahh, I will say it makes everything a lot easier.. though it;s not a easy task anyhow.. it will be nice, I have three 7m lower runners so I can experiment ^^.

Round to Oval isn't an easy transition then there's the pipe spacing.

Trust me it's a HUGE job ;)

Oh I trust you, but I think it's feasible, and it will be a lot of fun.. and disappointment too, I just want to try something new that's all. I think i would take ore pride in the car, if I had a lot of custom things I made.

Oh BTW: Those Defi Gauges I got I wiring them up today :) 110% perfect and still work correctly :D

I am very excited now. Senders don't even look like they were ever used.
