Hey guys, Im looking to swap a 2JZ into my mk3, but it would only be worth the extra work and money IF I could get a cheap and good 2JZ. Thats when I found this posting on this site:
http://www.japandirectjapanese.com/product.php?productid=292&cat=2&page=1&stateid=34

Well, its definately a good deal; a 2JZ, tranny, ECU and harness for $2100 delivered isnt bad at all, but that makes me worry a bit. I dont wanna buy the engine and get it in to find out there is a major problem with it or that I got ripped off.

Im just wondering if anybody knows anything about this company, (Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc). Are they trustworthy? What is their reputation? Anything I should know before I go ahead and buy it?

Can't say I've heard of them, but the price is typical of 2j's from Aristos. Personally I'd recommend Jhot any day of the week though. Ebay feedback and their reputation on here speaks for itself.

I feel stupid for asking... but what is a NA/T? I know N/A (naturally aspirited) and I know A/T (automatic transmission)... but i have no idea about NA/T...

hahaha its when you take a N/A engine and add all the turbo electronics and attach a turbo...so essentially you have an N/A block with the turbo :) and i live in wayzata.

Aaaahh that makes sense. Where did you get your engine? or did it come with your car...?
