Well...figured I would post on this...
That was a poor representation of Mustangs...bunch of dumb hillbilly idiots that think they know how to build a Mustang. I don't even want to get in to what was wrong with those cars but it was a horrible showing.
I think it was even at Steele Alabama right? There are a lot better STREET driven and DD cars here that would have been better choices. But Pinks is a bunch of BS IMO. All it is, is who can make that idiot of a host Rich feel sorry for them the most. I wish some guys in my club would have signed up for that one...but they wouldn't put their car up for a Cressida haha. Maybe if it was just for money or something.

I wouldn't put up a good looking GT to win a Cressida either. If it was run what you brung that would be a different matter, but when you have to keep adjusting and the guy is sandbagging you and you lose the last race by ten cars because he finally decided to run it all out............that's when I pull out my oooozie and start wasting people........:biglaugh:

i know what you mean i know some awesome stangs out there. whats sad is the first one was suppose to be a professional shop build. but the guy that stepped in wouldnt/didnt loose his car if lost the race. its a show to get ratings... you know how it is
I have yet to see a Fox Body on that show worthy of being a "Pro Build"...they all are stupid. They use stock POS blocks and most of the time get el cheapo heads. They throw the biggest cam in there because they "think" the bigger the better.
Here is the dialogue that goes down at the build "shop"(garage!)
Billy Joe-"Hey Joe Bob"
Joe Bob-"Yea Billy?"
Billy Joe-"You wanna get on that there show Pinks?"
Joe Bob-"Yea bud...what we gotta do?"
Billy Joe-"Well I got that 1991 Fox over yonder, I think I have some old heads from ElCheapo.com, and a crazy cool cam."
Joe Bob-"Sounds really easy...what about the NOZZZ?"
Billy Joe-"Oh yea...I almost fergot about that. Buddy of mommas has an awesome 300 shot we could use. I think she'll hold that."
Joe Bob-"Yea man...those engines are rated for 1000hp STOCK."
And when their car blows up at the track...
Billy Joe-"Well Rich...we built it overnight. We thought she would hold, must have been our custom built intake that was built at our "race shop."
Rich-"It is cool guys...you tried your best...my show Pinks that I created and is very very awesome is the hardest things on cars and tests their limits. I really thought you had a chance. I love myself and get a workout dropping my arms all day. Check out my muscles."

and yeah, the broken cars' owners are always saying they built the car in a week and therefore they cant properly bolt up driveshafts.
