2jz and 1jz ecu

are these 2 ecu's the same? will they work for the supra??

To answer the first question, no they are not the same. You could run a 1JZ-GTE on a JDM 2JZ-GTE ECU since the sensors are the same, but the tune will be off. USDM 2JZ-GTE uses MAF instead of MAP so that is a no-go unless you want to add a MAF and the wiring.

Either way the ECUs and ECU connectors are entirely different between 1JZ and 2JZ.

Possible? Yes. Advisable? Probably not for a stock 2JZ-GTE ECU. I'm running a 2JZ-GTE AEM on my 1JZ-GTE, but a standalone is a whole different ball of wax.
