It sounded like you were implying that it was a bad idea to run wider tires in the front because it will accelerate wear on old stock parts that should've been replaced anyway. I was saying that it's similar to making more power and you will accelerate wear on drivetrain components or other parts of the car.
Bascially, everything that you do to the car exposes a weaker point in the car. Cars and every part of the car is a wear item. From the normally considered ones like tires, brake pads, clutches to engines, chassis, everything else for people who are really pushing it.
My point was why make a sacrifice in tire size just because it will expose a weak point somewhere else on the car that needs attention.
