I don't know much about boosting a V8 and am curious about the header design since you're "single". Most boosted V8's that I see are "twin". Can you post some pics?

Good stuff btw!

Oh and what's with all the red MKIII's? Lol

How is the injector duty cycle with those 875cc? Which ones are you running?

They are Siemens Deka's. As for the duty cycle -- I can't remember exactly where it ended up, but if memory serves me correct.....it was around 45-50% @ ~11.8:1 @ 12psi or so. I've yet to have a chance to see what it's capable of though - for obvious reasons. If I had to guess it should be around 700-800rwhp and god knows what torque level at 85-90% duty. Food for thought, my 1j did 640rwhp/530rwtq with these injectors at 90% duty. Mind you, that was with two less injectors...so it will be interesting to say the least.

You could try a rebuild and hammer in tight C-clips and build it with super tight clearances and use all the marlin crawler parts. It is what marlin does.

If you have the funds, just go V160 now.

thank you guys for the info! sounds like the 1uz is the choice i have had the idea of a single turbo s372 BW 1uz block and 3uz vvti head :) but will most likely look into the 1uz. Enslaved87 your car is a beast and props to the setup you have inspired me and probably a few others on here lol! keep us updated! and if a v160 is in your reach go for it they are solid! couldnt imagine the v160 and mk4 diff./ gearing on your car would be sooo wild!

enslaved87 are you planning to upgrade cams? or do headwork? i know you said you want to see what it does stock and how far it will go. how does the s366 do? and how does it flow at 7-7500 rpm?

if you're serious, then you don't want a 3UZ head. 2UZ non-vvt-i Heads flow just as well, and are a hell of a lot easier to deal with since you won't have the VVT-i oil passages, actuators, and related to deal with. plus grinding cams becomes a fair bit easier as well. if you're worried about hood clearance issues, a 1/3UZ VVTi intake will bolt right in and lower the overall height a bit.
www.clublexus.com and www.lextreme.com are great resources.

Thanks. I am trying to size my injectors. Right now I have 460cc RX7 injectors.. which would pretty much get me to where you are now... maybe a tab bit less.

so compared to the 2jz swap in the mk3 is the 1uz overall the best? seems a lot cheaper but i hear once you build the 1uz with cams ect. it gets pretty expensive

^ it's always about what you want to get out of the car and how much you want to spend..

It is lighter, and it has more displacement, so it *could* be better, but it depends on what's done to both motors/cars.

For those of you who don't frequent the "other" web site.. here's a couple short clips of what it sounds like from the outside.
