Ok back in July I had saved up some money and desided to get myself a car, somehow I ended up with a 91 turbo with sunroof, well after fixing many things on it, it's my dd, a friend said he has a sp61 he will sell for $200, good deal? I'm looking for something that will have pretty good spool but not choke out, i am thinking about building it up to a little more power, something like 400-450rwhp, if you guys think that would still be an ok daily, any input super helpful, and the turbo is just cause of the deal, I know I need alot of supporting mods

Best thing you could do to the car now would be all the maintenance it would need.

Sp61 is a nice turbo. Might be a little small for your eventual goal but it would be a nice upgrade from stock.

Most important, supporting mods!!! Without them your going to have problems down the road.

Nice numbers on pump!! What kind of boost were you running to make 471? I'm hoping to break 500 on pump and meth with the MP T-70. I just need the cams and FFIM that you got.

Yeah. I think the 272 cams is what really helped me. For boost, I believe I hit 19.5psi at max torque and tamper off to 18psi at 7400rpm. If you want the FFIM I have, there on ebay right now, but check out my review of the product on SF. Theres alot to it.

Yea cams really help especially at that power/boost level. I remember that manifold I think. It's the steel one right? Hit the booster and had other fitment quirks IIRC right? I'm going ffim in the future, right now just don't have the funds.

It does hit the brake booster. Thats easily fixable. Need to move alternator to a/c. Also, it is aluminum.
