Hi everyone. I'm going to try to make this as short as possible. I just finished a 1jzgte swap into a small truck. (pics later) The truck runs, starts fine but appears to run as if in limp mode. (very rich mixture)
I checked the caps on the ECU after searching. They were leaking. I replaced them. The ECU was also a Buddy club modified ECU with a ribbon wire going to a piggy back. I removed that while in there to minimize variables.
I'm using all standard parts save for a Walbro inline 255 which is making my base pressure too high. I know that.
The ECU is throwing a Code 31 for MAP sensor. The MAP sensor is connected. I connected a 2jz Map sensor and the code remained after resetting.
When I drove the car there was no boost (car would misfire under load and foul plugs)
At this point I might need an ECU due to acid damage. Is there anything else that you guys can think of that sounds familar? This is a rare engine and information is very difficult to come by.
Does anyone have a JZA70 ECU for sale (MT)?
I don't really want to get more parts unless I can be sure. I'm in MA if anyone near Boston is reading this and feels so compelled to lend me an ECU for 5 minutes.
Thanks for reading.
