1jzgte swap into a sc300. 1jzgte is from a soarer.

I got no spark, igniter is fine. I got a check engine code 12.
I have no idea what the code is.

Anyone know?

I'm getting 12v to the coil wires, Injecters are fine, I can smell the fuel on the spark plugs. So there seem to be fuel going in. I can hear the main relay turning on and off.

RPM signal, usually mean crankshaft or camshaft position doesn't it?
Anyone have a picture of how the timing mark on the crankshaft gear and
cam gear is suppose to be in what position?

When I was doing the timing belt on the 1jz before swapping it in. I was unable
to find the crank marking. So I took a stick and put it into cylinder 1 spark plug hole.
Crank the motor until the stick is at the highest point during the rotation. That would
be TDC. Other than that there was no marking on the oil pump to show where
it is suppose to be and no marking on the crank gear.

The markings are on the lower timing belt cover. Do you have one? If not I would double check your timing. I read a thread over on supraforums and this guy couldn't get his car to start, and iirc he wasn't getting spark just as you discribe, he redid the timing and it fired up. Another thing i would check would be the crank sensor signal at the ecu plug.

The 0 mark on the timing belt cover on the block? That is suppose to be the mark for the harmonic balancer to be align to right?

What about the cam gears? I used the white marking on the cam gear and have it align to the marks on the back plate of the cam gear on the top.

Yes the 0 mark on the lower timing belt cover which is right behind the crank pulley. and the cams should have little dips on them that you can clearly see and those line up to the back plate behind them.

Got it started today!!!!!! I tore apart the timing and saw that the crank gear was not on all the way with the flat gear in the back where it would work with the crank sensor. Pulled the gear off and put the two pieces together, put the timing belt back. Fired right up. Finally figured it out after a month. Pulls pretty good. Only problem that I see is low idle I need to adjust the TPS. Sounds like its misfiring, no CEL code. No reverse light. Maybe after I adjust the idle the misfire will go away.

this seems like the same issue i am having right now, lots of fuel no spark. when the car was running i noticed the timing belt moving front-back approx 2-3mm(front when i rev it, back when i let off) so i think i will do the same and pull the pulley off and see wtf is goin on
