I finally got to dyno my car after going single turbo. This was done on a Mustang dyno (no inflated numbers here) in this weekend meet in Tampa.

The AFR was super rich not even worth showing the chart. Not bad though I think considering my very first street tune with the SAFC. I can get more I know for sure just gotta tune it more and get the afr to 11.5.

I don't see the cams listed. Hopefully it's stock cams so you have more room for improvement with some crower cams.

Your car looks and sounds amazing.

Very nice!

My buddy and I were on our way to the dyno with his gt35r 1j, but his clutch went out (clutch hub broke) and couldn't make it :(

Hey Justin, remember my problem running rich on 4th gear pull, well it did. Yeah not bad though even @ 17psi car runs like it had mad power man. If i can get it to 11.5 i know this shit will rock a lot more. I was hoping you make it to the meet.

thanks.

Nice ride!!! Get her tuned better and gain another 50+rwhp at 17psi..... You have to many mods to be making such lower power. When I dynoed my car I was 312rwhp on a stock 7m 14psi, K&N, exhaust and I had plenty of room to subtract fuel. I gained almost 20rwhp since I retuned my car to 12.0 ..... well that’s what my butt dyno says. My friend has a 57trim and put down your numbers and I hang with him pretty much nose to nose, but then again I don’t really know what kind of power I am making currently all I know is my car is pretty quick for a street car. Well now I am bored and I want more power!

nice numbers considering that you ran it on a mustang dyno, if you ran it on a dyno jet your numbers would of been much higher. we pretty much have the same setup and i can't wait to get mine tuned.

^^^ Thanks.

Dynojet would have shown prolly in the 390s. There's a guy in SF dynoed his car 420 @ 19psi and he claimed his afr is below 12. I'm going to re-tune it at the dyno this time to be safe. Hopefully I can get more power and still keep the afr in check in the 11s.

Hey u noypi, where from?

Im going to say at 17 psi the ecu detected knock and retarded timing. This is causing your over fueling issues you were talking about in 4th gear. I bet if you got a AFPR and turned down the fuel pressure and pulled less fuel out with the SAFC you'd pick up more power (from timing being increased) and probably not have that over fueling issue.

I think this is the reason why most stock ecu singled 1j cars dont perform as well as they should and going standalong picks up quiet a bit of power. The stock ecu is tuned rather aggressive when you start throwing bigger injectors at them and are pulling fuel with the afc or the like they detect knock and pull timing.

My buddies car the same thing, stock twins 18 psi put down 308whp on a dynojet with 550s, 2jz cams, and no fpr. Added the fpr and put down 338 on that mustang dyno last tampa meet. To back up those numbers the car previously ran 103-104mph traps, after the fpr ran 107-108.

I have a AFPR and set it to 40psi (vaccum off) and fuel correction is -18 to -20 from 5200 to 6800rpm. I'm going to drop the fp to 35-38 and re-tune. Hope your theory works and I will post result after I dyno it again next week. If not, i'm ditching the safc and going AEM ems like Pedro (suspectsupra -remember him) and I were talking about.

Thanks man.

Nice car and setup OneJSupra!

I have a question... Since the stock fuel pressure regulator is supposed to be between 33 and 38 psi (http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44481&highlight=1jz+fuel+pressure)
is there really any need for the adjustable regulator if your going to run that low of pressure? Im a little confused. I have a adjustable FPR and some 440 getting ready to go on my 1jz. I have a 57 trim ct 26 and plan to run 16-18psi.
