my bro ran a 13.7 on a stock auto tranny, un tuned maft pro, 3" elbow/ 3" exhaust, hard pipes, intercooler, 10-12 psi on bald street tires. He also blew his head gasket before the finish line and coasted over it. Full interior aswell.

The 13.7 I am speaking of has many mods

Here is the list of mods:

DP/exhaust
Driver aka ME :)

and to top it all off the 60 ft was not that great (1.96 IIRC) and I took my time shifting to 3rd since I don't normally drive the right hand drive car at the track. :biglaugh:

PS: The car is at full weight as well.

If you have not rebuilt your stock A340E and it has "a lot" or "some" minor problems of slippage, when you launch in 1st gear, make sure your switch is set to "NORMAL". It should shift a few hundred rpm's quicker than it would in "POWER". Once you get into 2nd, punch the button back into "POWER" so that your gears wrap out smoothly (unless you're having problems from 2nd > 3rd...

Have you had your car tuned? It seems as if with all those mods, your right around the stock HP level.

Get rid of your stock downpipe and elbow if you still have em. They suck.

I just realized this. He is putting 234 to the wheels, that aint stock. If it was stock it would be about 190 to the wheels (17 years ago), even less now, plus its an auto so even LESS yet.:icon_razz

ur first to second is the problem, i just ran a 13.8@99.4 this past saturday with a 2.0 60 foot, and all i have done is intake, 2.5 inch exhaust, tuned with maft gen2, and the accumulator mods to the tranny. also i have bfg drag radials and i was leavingthe line with about 3-4 psi.

my first run there i spun in first and had to let off, i ran a 14.5@99 and my 60 was 2.3. if u could fix the first to second problem u should be all set and ready to hit 13's.

get some drag radials, heat them up with a good burnout, and power brake the car atthe line to about 3 psi. u should be able to hit 13's.

I went 14.1 @ 95mph with only intake and 3" catback on Micheline Pilot Sport A/S's with a 2.0 60foot time. This at full interior with the car weighing in at 3485lbs running only 11psi. Nearly stock car. Then again, i've got a TT-R with the 4:10 Torsen LSD in back. :naughty: :biglaugh:

EDIT:

Now I have a 3" DP and Test Pipe I've added over the "drag off season" and now hitting boost cut. So once I get a boost cut eliminator I should be close to the mid to low 13's running around 15-17psi on street radials if I can catch traction in 1st and 2nd now.

When my car was bone stock I ran a 15.5 at 93. This was my first time at the drag strip ever and I only made the one run. When I went back the next year I had a cat back and an intake. This time I ran 14.4 but I forget the MPH. I think with my mods that I have now I should be somewhere in the 13's. If not...the next mod will be a driver mod.:3d_frown:

The stock MKIII was ~232HP, not ~232RWHP. (266HP) He's not really 'at stock levels'. A decent tune should bring that up a bit more.

Thats true for north american MKIII's but not all of them. My JZA70 is 280hp and 263ft-lbs torque rated stock (not at the wheels), and the MKIII's that have the 2L I6 had 215hp rated. Just thought i'd add that, not sure if its relevant but its a good tidbit to know. :icon_bigg
