ok so i got it down a tenth, big woop, why is my car so damn slow, i agree part of it is that i have to lose boost going from 1st to 2nd to avoid rev limiter but i still can believe im running 14's, and i also know that Supra's are heavy as hell and my fat ass isnt helping that much but shouldnt i be in the 13's?

i did 14.6 @ 95.30mph lastnight and i pretty much have the same mods as you just + the BOV. However you are running those mickey thompson radials and if I had those on my car it would definately be low 14s. I dont know whats wrong with your tranny, I just stomp on it at the line and it red lines each shift without delay

14.33@100.44, first time out on the lights ever, first time racing this car.

haha I wish......mine was bone stock when i bought it lastyear. When i say bone stock, i'm not just talking about engine i'm talking original tape player and all. Apparently it sat for 10 years, just started up once in awhile to keep things flowing. Lots of $$ for my supra cause of the shape its in....thats some good times though, what are you running dude? that was my target goal but i failed friday night. I got 14.6 @ 95.30 ......if i had some slicks, that 100mph would be touchable. :icon_bigg

Have you had your car tuned? It seems as if with all those mods, your right around the stock HP level.

Get rid of your stock downpipe and elbow if you still have em. They suck.

I really think that your auto tranny is KILLING you. You mentioned (and from other threads) that you have problems with it and you have to let off to go into second.

That kills your time.

Go R154 and learn to launch. 13's here you come!

well i dyno'd 311 rwhp with close to the same mods, but i hit boost cut on the dyno due to my shitty AFM. I also ran a 14.5, and for some reason now, im not getting the 13lbs of boost that i used to be getting, only 9.

considering that time is better than the stock supra when it was new and its a 17 year old car....yea you should be ok with them.

Hmmm...14.02 @ 101 K&N intake BIC ddp stock catback (gutted stock cat) on nitto 555r's (couldn't get them hot enough to stick) spinning tires in 1st when the boost started to build.

I'll tell you right now I used to run 15.00 allllll day long. Driving is a HUGGEEE part of drag racing. I can run 14.5's all day with the stock catback off and crappy tires. It's an easy 13.7 on the nitto's running open DP

No you shouldn't be in the 13's with your power level and weight. That is a decent ET for the mods. After you spend a few thousand to convert to 1JZ, you will still be running 14's.

All you really have is an intake and exhaust. If you throw in that your cars trannies not working correctly and your "fat ass";) i think you times are good.

You have the stock power level and your running jsut around stock 1/4th mile times!

Get a 57 trim, more fuel, up the boost and watch those numbers drop like a hard peice of crap.

my bro ran a 13.7 on a stock auto tranny, un tuned maft pro, 3" elbow/ 3" exhaust, hard pipes, intercooler, 10-12 psi on bald street tires. He also blew his head gasket before the finish line and coasted over it. Full interior aswell.
