Nice RT!

With that setup you must be over 275 man. Not sure what the 88 turbo came with but I think I'm quickly learning why all the turbo guys say the 4.3+W58 is too much gear once you start boosting:( But it's damn fun around town.

Either way good stuff, what mind of rubber?

thanks :)

ran it on some 225/40/18 capitol tires (cheap local brand $80/ea)

i thought i was gonna get 300 with the setup as well, but went to the dyno the following week after i ran the car, and it made 276whp on the 1st pull, 275 on the last one, tuned a lil safer cuz it was runnin a bit lean.
i know this car has a 12 in it w/ the stock turbo on street tires, i just got impatient and now im on a 64mm.

Texas Nationals? TX2K9 you mean? I went and raced and was in charge of the MK3 classes with Victor. Next year will be even better. 2010! I'm going to be going to IFO in Ennis this year as well in NOV, hoping for a mid 11 sec pass. Hoping for a high 11 soon. Love my Welds/MT setup! Best mod any car can have!!!

Oh yeah I have run a 14.1 @ 96 MPH on stock boost, because my controller wasn't working at TX2K6. Also ran several 13.4 passes on 14 psi with really bad 60' times. It's all about your launch! A good 60' time with some good tires, will lower your time dramatically even on a stock car.

Yeah the texas nationals, do you know what date it is gonna be held this year? I really wanna go with my car. Oh and where do live in TX?

You are going to have to wait because it's in March every year in Houston. I'm in DFW.

I've run 13.3 at 106mph. But it took me 113mph to break into the 12's.

For a full wieght supra with a manual trans, I would say 400rwhp will get you there without having to shift like John Force. Either way, make sure you have a good clutch and some drag tires.

Today i ran 12.45@113 . I kept loseing traction on my Nittos, I only got 1.9 60ft. twice in three trys. To some that may be great but I need better for 12.00. my goal. I think I need Mikey Thompsons... They wont slip . oh well next time.

Agreed, Ill try second gear to heat them next time. Bye Bye Rubber ...

From what I've heard you can get good traction with drag radial if you do good amount of burnout. Melt them real good.

Just got back from the drag strip

She ran 12.4 @ 117mph with a 2.3 60' lol

Not bad at all for being on 195/70/14 tires and only 14psi of boost with a ct26!

That's a quick celica, I like the 70's body style when done right. The 7mgte is a powerfull motor especially when put in a light car. For example, i tried to pull my brother out with a lil' saturn ion (base model of the redline) and i was real easy on the throttle and it was going no where, so i got a little harsher on the throttle and those tires went up in smoke (mostly cause the car is real light, dent reistant side panels! another word for plastic! Go GM!). Anyways his truck was on rims in a ditch and my car pulled his dodge 2500 out without even barely touching the throttle, it had no trouble at all. I was amazed, but it does have a crap load of weight on it so comparing it to the saturn means nothing but man what a powerfull motor! You could use it in a truck no problem.
