A friend of mine made 15LBS on a stock CT. Yes, that is past the effiency level. He was using an Autometer Boost Gauge as well. At 15LBS, it did not hit fuel cut. He was using an Areomotive Fuel Pressure regulator. You can push those 400cc's a good way but at least a Walbro and Fuel Pressure Regulator are recommended. DriftMotion has the Walbro and Areomotive Fuel Pressure kits. They are good qulaity, as I have purchased both of them.

this is just plain wrong as stock is 440cc injectors. there is a screw in the stock afm that you can adjust to amount of un-metered air coming in for higher boost levels. you will eventually reach its max. after 14psi on a stock ct is a waste and im guessing your fiend was going for im boosting 15psi yo!. stock 440cc injectors should only be pushed to 330hp period. you COULD put them to 400hp but then you are pretty much maxing out 20yr old injectors and about to lose a engine.

if you are going to run the lex afm get some 550cc injectors so you have a 25% fuel and 25% air upgrade and the stock ecu can control it to some degree. if you dont have the injectors get a wide band and afpr and monitor your a/f ratio constantly to make sure your not running lean with just a 25% increase in air.

Ofcourse, he sold the car. The thing is the guy kept spooling the turbo in every gear. Shifted at 3,500RPM in every gear and I don't know why. His turbo can barely spool now, it only goes to 5LBS. I laughed, I told him not to shift like that.

ok if im not getting it enlighten me then.
Basically, if you put a Lexus AFM on, you will be getting more air. Ergo, you need more fuel. Otherwise, you go lean, go boom. No amount of ARP head studs and MHGs can change that fact.

Reread all the posts (Hint #43, 39, 37, 31, ect) made by myself and others on what you should do In there entirety untill you grasp the concept. All the information is already in this thread. How many times do you be to be told?

Basically what everyone is trying to say is if you get the lexus air flow meter you will need to get 550 injectors, if you get 550 injectors you will need a larger walbaro fuel pump to flow more fuel to the injectors and if you get the pump you will need to buy a fuel pressure regulator to control the pressure of the larger pump. So if you are low on cash you may want to stay stock for now.

And you know it is highly recommended to deck the block and mill the head when you install a mhg if not it will more than likely leak.

Basically you just got the car do the maintence stuff first make sure it runs good and reliable then think about power.

Every car is different or your were under the assumption everything was stock.

Fuel cut is not based on boost pressure, The TCCS only calculates a mass airflow signal from Airspeed vs RPM and displacement. It cuts when mass airflow is above the fuel cut threshold. This is why the threshold of fuel cut varies car to car and climate to climate.

Yes, it's dependent on many factors. In my case, I was running 8 psi with no problems, until I installed a three inch downpipe. Then I started hitting fuel cut.
