The 240 is Aliiiiivee. :) so the kill list on the electrical issue was a fried ecu and fried map sensor. plugged in the new map and purred like a kitten and no more richness. Is anything going on this weekend? All my friends went home and i'm stuck working. any good places for fireworks...
i made a lil progress today. so i've had 2 new ecu's which won't start the car...today i was going through the spare parts i got with the car and there was a spare turbo pressure sensor. I hooked it up instead of my current map and suddenly the new ecus would start the car but once again it's...
Got the other new ecu and this one does that same as the other i bought....no injector pulse (checked with noid light). when i spray carb cleaner in it'll run for a few seconds so it's deff a fuel issue...there is pressure at the rail. i do have signal at the coils..and i have 12v to the...
No sir. my whole family is military but i didn't wanna get into it. haha. i went to wyotech up in Pa and got a job down here with Casey Auto Subaru. Had an integra for 2.5 years and wyotech had such nasty cars so i needed somethin better. lol. traded my teg for this 240 with a stock 1jz...within...
hell yeah man. i kinda have a faint dream of doin the luxury sc with a jz. deff wanna check it out sometime. i'm currently stuck with the boost cut at 15lbs but it's exactly with a zo6 so it's plenty fun. The ecu i fried will start the car but it's just super rich(melted one of the ecu...
Oh trust me, the shell is uber rough. lol. when things work out and i have some spare cash, find the right shell...and figure out where i can do the work(living at an apt complex sucks!) it'll all be going into a new body. But it's a 1jz with a precision 60-1 running off an aristo ecu all stock...
So i was forum lurking just discoered this thread with everyone being kinda local to me. I'm from the newport news area. i have a 1jz single located in my 240. currently havin ecu issues but once she's back again i'm deff for maybe tryin to go to meets with everyone or whatever there is to do...
ok. i looked up the wiring diagrams for a 2jz and found the e02 is the wire that serves as a ground to the ecu. all the other ecu grounds are grounded through that ecu. so i checked eo2 and it's ground. The other ground wires showed continuity to ground...however the big E2 ecm ground wire isn't...
i know it's too simple but did you check your throttle plate brackets? lol. cause mine idles high occasionally as well and that's all it is. i doubt a map sensor would cause i slightly high idle...unless maybe there was a small vacumm leak in the line going to it?...you have sprayed carb cleaner...
i Thought if one of those sensors is bad then you won't have fuel and spark...pretty sure if your car is running then it eliminates any problems wit the crank or cam...not positive, but pretty sure that's what i've read.
Mine started doin this after i did my ecu swap..i finally figured out what it was the other day. sometimes when i come to a stop it'll idle at 1200 and sometimes it'll be at 800..i went to the throttle body and there's like the two diff brackets for throttle cables...i guess the one if more...
i'm talking about the brown wire thats goes to the map, tps, and iat. these all branch together and i have attached to i believe E1 (ground)...yet when i check voltage this wire has 2.6...when i cut this wire and ran a diy gnd to chassis it would have 0v and the sensors would show the correct...
ok, had a problem with wiring and ended having a power melt to a gnd and f some stuff up. i've gone through the harness and replaced all damaged wires...i've spent weeks trouble shootin and finally came to my current situation.
How is the aristo ecu grounded?? my ground wires coming from the...
