ok I will have to check that, but at this time I am starting to think its either the cam sensor or sensors or possibly the Crank sensor. Does anyone know a way to test either one of these? I have beensearching all night and couldn't find jack on how to test those 2 items.

i Thought if one of those sensors is bad then you won't have fuel and spark...pretty sure if your car is running then it eliminates any problems wit the crank or cam...not positive, but pretty sure that's what i've read.

i know it's too simple but did you check your throttle plate brackets? lol. cause mine idles high occasionally as well and that's all it is. i doubt a map sensor would cause i slightly high idle...unless maybe there was a small vacumm leak in the line going to it?...you have sprayed carb cleaner all over the place to check for leaks right? sprayed all near the intake mani and stuff and if there's even a pinhole leak it'll get into the airstream and you'll hear an immediate change in idle...just in case you haven't tried.

I think I am at the conclusion that it's my turbo that is making it idle high lol so I am looking for a smaller one now, anyone know a good size of a turbo for these engines

I'd go back to MAP sensor testing before 86'ing your badass turbo setup!!!

Does your JZ setup incorporate throttle position sensor?? 7mgte can have a crapped TPS and not throw code for a while!

It's probably the same as mine. The IDL and Ground (E2) contacts have to show less than or equal 2.3k OHMs when the throttle is open .5mm and everything should fall into place. To me though if they don't work at all or don't throw a code right away your best bet may be a new one!

ok if the tps is at fault for all this is the 2jz-gte compatable with the 1jz tps so far I have seen yes and no but more yes, as long as its the gte tps.
