    Thanks for the speedy response! I don't see any oil cooler or oil adapter. Although, it is a 7M-GE non turbo engine. I checked the relief valve plug in the oil pump cover and it looks good, spring in tack, so that's not it. Still a bit of a puzzle:: hommer ::

    Hi Everyone, I have a '89 7M-GE engine that I'm changing out the rod bearings. After pulling the engine and mounting on the stand, I rotated the engine and this part fell out from somewhere near the front of the engine (see attachment). I can't seem to locate where it goes or what it is...

    I removed the timing cover on my 7M-GE and discovered a dowel pin sitting on top of the timing belt above the tensioner wheel. Yikes... Excellent forum by the way! :drink: Fortunately the only damage was a groove in the belt. It seems the pin was being wedged between the tensioner wheel and...
