yeah I have this as well I figured it was the hose I had to re route from the passenger side to the inlet on the firewall. Still not sure which it is considering sometimes I hear it sometimes I dont but mine sticks around until third gear.
Yeah I need some new seats as well! And considering I was quoted 1000$ just to do the front seats figured might as well buy new ones! Would not mind something like these but they look plasticy and cheesy!
Your top radiator hose should be pressurized. Do you know roughly where the leak is at? There are a bunch of reasons as to why it would overheat need more info
whats with the waterfall thing CRE? Mine does that from time to time granted I am fairly sure its the hose I had to re route from...
ITS YOUR WIRE TO YOUR SENSOR! And/or the sensor dont waste money on anything else!! I just got done going over every single thing on the cooling system and it ended up being the wire! I was able to just flip mine around for it to be ok but I plan on redoing the wire and would suggest the same!
So my passenger door is some how out of alignment or something because it catches the front quarter panel has bent it in the middle as a result! So hopefully someone knows as to why this happens because it seems to be a common issue because all the supras in the junk yard have that side taken...
Check to make sure your oil sending unit wire is hooked up and on good! I dont know how accurate this is but I was told to take the oil cap off, start the car and see if you can see oil moving. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable then me will have more info!
Shit after all this back and forth I might just go and read the oil section!! Haha All I know is that my first supra I had was an auto 89 turbo and ran around 40 on the oil gauge and went up when pushing it and now on my manual 88 turbo it runs around 20ish (except when first started of which...
well as to an update I now have the new radiator in and still overheating! Since the water pump is not all to hard to remove and such I took the one off the old motor I have and the one that was on the motor I have in the car and well the one in the car is looser then the other one. The interior...
Thanks for the link. Granted at this point in time if the radiator doesnt fix it it will be narrowed down to one of two things. Electrical connection or bhg.
My 89 did that as well and it progressively got worse. As told by the mechanic that looked at it it was an exhaust leak off of the turbo Y pipe if I recall correctly. For any matter it was on or near the turbo. Mine got so bad that I had to hold the gas at stops or I would stall
Well the whole problem with me is that I live in this wonderfully crappy state of Oklahoma for the time being and most likely no one in a 50+ mile radius probably knows how/has the stuff to do any type of advanced test be it hydro carbon, leak down, or compression! So pretty much I just have to...
Well I switched out my lower hose, flushed the system, new rad cap, another new thermostat and new coolant and well I just seem to be going backwards because now I overheat just sitting there at idle! Hopefully its just your lower hose Dopamine.
What should the temp difference be between the...
On the hose I just bought it also doesnt have a spring in it! I dont know if they skipped out on it or what but I am thinking about ordering the performance hoses for like 25$ more! If interested here you go
Hey Dopamine how is your lower rad hose? I was reading some of the stuff... "Sometimes a lower radiator hose will collapse under vacuum at high speed and restrict the flow of coolant from the radiator into the engine. This can happen if the reinforcing spring inside the hose is missing or...
Yeah hopefully someone will know what it is, I am on toyota nation and no one has said anything there either so I guess we play the waiting game! Ok I just noticed you already replaced the water pump so yeah! Do you have a good rad cap on?
So I have similar problem. I just dropped a jap engine in and after about 350 miles of babying it I gave it a little power the other day and I received a few problems for it. The alt belt loosened up, clutch cylinder started leaking, and I over heat if I run anything over 70ish mph. Fixed the...
