any help is appreciated. thanks

That water rush noise is air stuck in your heater core....either you have a pinhole leak in a hose or something that is sucking air or you are low on coolant.........ooor you're blowing exhaust gas into your cooling system...

When you revved the motor you cleared the air from the core which is why it didn't do it again...my supra has been doing this for over a year and I personally ignore it as I don't plan on driving it much longer.

yeah I have this as well I figured it was the hose I had to re route from the passenger side to the inlet on the firewall. Still not sure which it is considering sometimes I hear it sometimes I dont but mine sticks around until third gear.

My supra used to do that every time i changed coolant , I cut gigle valve off thermostat and never have that proplem anymore . You can jack front end up and burp coolant system but remove gigle valve is a better choice ( Jdub and IJ v'e done that too !:icon_bigg

I've noticed this on my car as well. Does it when the car is cold or when I use the heater. Never does it while the AC system is on.

I always have a problem getting all of the air out of the cooling system on my car after having to pull the radiator or changing the coolant. I just bought this to try and solve my issue, a spill-free funnel kit to burp the system:
