Thank you for the link - I hadn't seen that one.
Couple reasons to do the rears - looks is part of it, the rears look downright silly with the monster brakes in front - but not the driving cause. I need new rotors and pads for the rears, and I know the calipers are at least 15 years old ('cuz...
Thank you for the inputs. MkIV rears seem to be one of the more common ways to go for what I'm looking to do so I just have to ask: for the 1mm or so shim needed between the MkIII hub and the MkIV rotor, does anyone have contact info for a shop that has already successfully made something...
I've only been able to put a few miles on my front Mustang Cobra brakes as I just recently got my ABS troubles fixed but I can already tell it has an insane return on investment. I used all new parts and still got it done for roughly 600 or so.
Time to do the rears - I'm looking for a...
It's been two weeks since you asked, if you still need help on this I'd be checking for continuity between the ignition switch and the check connector and look into replacing the switch if the wiring is OK.
I sent mine to http://cruzinperformance.com/ last October. Grand total to clean all 7 was 110.20. I was having startup problems and it turned out the cold start was completely clogged; he got it working again with several runs through the wash and they came back looking like they were brand new.
Wow - almost a year since I first wrote this - and it's finally fixed. Obviously I haven't been working on it full time, plenty of other projects :)
Nick M was right - basically the ABS computer was not getting it's power from the ECU-IG fuse. So if you have an ABS light, try to check the...
I know it's been forever - just wanted to say thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately none panned out but it turned into a larger issue; the cruise and the tems went inop as well so there is some wiring issue that I just haven't had time to track down.
Already been answered but yes they definitely don't fit. I had a 2001 750iL with those wheels and wondered the same thing one night... I even still have a chrome one in my garage as an ornament.
As far as these being replicas, only way to tell would be to see if BMW is stamped into the...
Hi folks - it's been so long since I've had anything go wrong on my car, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious:
Antilock light came on out of the blue; when I try to pull the code by turning the key on and disconnecting the check connector the light goes out and stays out...
Got the car back to running normal today. I bought a Haste radiator from 935motorsports, looks nice - pretty sure it won't ever have any problems with heat.
Once that was done I still had the stuck at 3500-4000 RPM on startup issue. Originally it was looking like a problem with the ECU...
$120?! This ones only $105 at the moment LOL

Thank you for the thought.
I'm going to buy an all-aluminum one; I was looking at 935motorsports' site and saw they have two that basically look the same and about same price, a Haste and a CSF? Price looked good, never heard of either though. I called them credit card in hand to ask what's...
Oddly enough, it all started with a stuck throttle. My wife was driving to work, got off the highway, put in the clutch, 4.5k RPM instead of idle. I had her drive it the last five miles to work. She thinks she had it in third or fourth but I dunno - she said she was doing 30 without touching...
Right on! The harness did plug into the passenger footwell and the loose wire at the controller end was needing 12v to power the thing up.
Thanks so much for pointing me to the footwell, I never would have found it.
I do have one more question:
I haven't driven the car because I have it...
