Well, I worked on the bay a little today. Removed all of the AC Components, not going back in with it. My AC has never worked, but the targa has been plenty. I also got a few other parts off.

The speedometer is mechanically driven from the transmission. The cable could be broken, seized from being crushed, or disconnected where it threads to the back right of the tranny. If that isn't the problem could be the cable connection behind the gauge cluster.
