It's a 87 Supra non turbo, manual setup W58, everything is all stock. I havent changed the differential fluid since I've had the car. I also don't hear the differential making any noises. Could bad differential fluid cause jerking?
Supra has been jerking when accelerating hard or quickly. If I keep my foot on the gas pedal and very slowly gain speed, the jerking won't happen. This also happens intermittently and regardless of what gear I'm in. I've already replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter.
Any other ideas?

Hey guys,
So after much testing, it ended up being the A/C Amp. I replaced it and it did the trick. A/C is blowing cold again and low and high side pressures are reading normal.
Thanks again for the help!
I just read in another thread to check for a code 51 with the A/C switch on and foot off the pedal. I did that but it didn't give me a code 51. It just read normal. So what does that suggest?
Are you talking about the A/C Magnet Clutch relay underneath the left engine fuse box
or the A/C Relay (in front of the heater unit) behind the gauge cluster?
Would the A/C magnet clutch also kill power coming up the A/C Condenser fan plug as well? Because there wasn't any voltage on that line...
My car has had no A/C for the past 4 years. There was no pressure in the system or any oil in the compressor before hand. I flushed all the lines. I replaced the drier, all the o-rings, expansion valve, and added 4.1 oz of mineral oil to the compressor. I ran a vacuum on it for 1hr and then let...
The same thing was going through my mind when I was working on my setup. It didn't help either that while i was doing the install, my mailman walked by and told me a 15 min story about all the times his amp and subs got stolen. Anyways, I just bolted down my amp underneath the passenger's seat...
Update: I figured out the problem. I checked out the exhaust manifold and its connection to the side of the engine and all the nuts were loose. Fastened them up real quick and it did the job. Thanks guys!
Hey guys. I've been hearing this sound for quite a while now. I think it's an exhaust...
So I replaced the valve cover gasket, the y-pipe gasket, got the new hex bolts with the oem washers. I cleaned out spark plug gallery of all the oil. I didn't replace the spark plugs but just cleaned them off. Would that be a problem?
Everything looks good. Thanks guys!
Hey guys, I have an 87 N/A. The car runs fine but recently I've been smelling a lot of burning engine oil. I pulled out a couple spark plugs and they had oil all over them. Could that be indicating a BHG? The engine almost sounds like a lawn mower. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with...
