Would the same place that machines the head have a lapping tool??
I'd like to get mine lapped, but would it be cheaper to get the tool and do it myself or have someone else do it??

Just wonderin'.
What kind of RA can you get away with on the Cometic HG??
((On Topic)) I remember seeing a little while back that someone had made a handheld lapping tool. I don't know if it actually saw the light of production.
Sorry couldn't more.

I have 2 new ones anyway.
I was just wondering if the conversion was really worth it?
It looks like I'll just do the rewire and call it good.
Thanks

What Spool said.
I've seen a lot of good reviews of JE. But that doesn't mean that the others are any worse.
Just make damn sure that everything is WELL within the tolerance.

Thanks Doc.
I figured I would just do the rewire and call it good.
Yeah, I noticed that you were near AND knew how to tune a SAFC. Looking for some help on that when I get around to installing it.
Thanks Again.

Hey guys,
I searched but couldn't find out what I was looking for. I was recently throwing a code 52 and looking into the rewire but came across something kinda silly.
Apparently, someone figured the 7M knock sensors were so weak, that the GM knock sensors are a better replacement. So they...

Depending on your power goals, just keeping the stock manifold would do you right.
OR. You could possibly go for a hybrid if you want a little more power than the Stock CT can put out efficiently.
Your choice.

Machine it. Stock HG it. ARP it. Torque it. Boost it.
Depending on the HP goals though, you can either rebuild it fully now with forged pistons and rods and clevite bearings and all the goodies.
Or you can do what I said first off and rebuild later.
Your choice.
