Looking good. I would highly recommend just getting high quality 5-1/4" speakers in the front. In order to do it right it will take a ridiculous amount of work (unless someone is selling some sort of kit I'm unaware of). Hopefully this will get me motivated soon lol.
Well, things are good. Supras are sitting right now but the truck is doing well. I'm buying house with a nice shop so I should be back into the Supra soon. Letme know what the other jobs are and I'll let you know what I can do!
Dude where have you been? I've got that torque plate for you whenever you want it. I mean, it looks pretty in my garage and all but I thought you might want to use it eventually lol.
Gross IMO. I can appreciate the work... kind of. But seriously, that thing has shaper lines than the original Shelby and that's not a good thing, especially with a Supra roof. I think that it could be done quite a bit better. (Another) BUT they do seem to like super sharp lines over there so I...
Only a 10% difference, I doubt it will cause any problems. Maybe if you had a stereo and second battery it MIGHT be a concern. The flat black looks great.
Looking good man. Tearing the trans apart huh? That's the one thing I haven't had the balls to tear into yet. On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard was just swapping in the new parts?
That's the recommended width for that rim (the rears) and mildly lowered MK3's can run that combo with no problem. And you can have an extremely low ride and fit them as long as you fix them camber.
I LOVE those wheels and would get them someday when I could afford it. But I think that I would go with more aggressive widths and offsets. I don't think a lip is needed but more concave on the front would be nice.
I was sad that I couldn't make it (I think I had swine flu or something), it would have been nice to get out of the house! Too bad that more people weren't able to make it :(
I disagree. I don't think BIC did a complete enough job, although he did do it correctly. It is and always will be a matter of taste. If you want some more pics you can check out my build thread. It's only primer so it has an even more different look.
Ha yeah I was gonna say that the valves could still be leaking. The seals aren't that tough to do. If I were you I would be happy to get those super old seals out of there!
...and yeah an air grinder would make getting those ribs off a lot easier. I did mine back in high school and didn't have...
I haven't had any time to work on it lately but I'm going to get some time in this weekend. I don't know how amazing the video(s) will be but I'll try to get something to hold you over until I can get some good ones.
Here's a better pic
I haven't really gotten anywhere on the pickup. Been too busy on the weekends and way too busy at work to get much done during the week.
For slapping my pickup together I just got a whole kit off of ebay because I'm not really pushing any numbers and I just wanted to get everything for cheap. But yeah, if you really only want to build it once, gotta go Toyota for that kind of thing.
