If you're using stock, unmolested 91+ mounts, IIRC, it's either completely sealed, or very easy to seal them. It's been so long since I looked at them.
Makes me wish I didn't hack them apart. I could have sold them for some decent change.
I would suggest you invest in a system to listen to the knock sensors with headphones. :)
I have one, and it's quite interesting to listen to the noises your motor makes.
find a shop with a smoke machine, and smoke test your intake system. Thats the best way to make sure you're leak free. Once you know that, then it's time to start looking elsewhere.
It's also possible the one way valve in your ISCV is stuck open.
just to clarify what Rennat said:
the 7M crank has more counterweights, which is why the 7M crank would be better than the 6M crank, not the other way around :)
cml asked why the 6M crank was better, and you told him why the 7M cank was better.
Maybe your turbos are coked with sludge inside or something. I ran 14psi on warm days, 17psi on cold with no boost controller.
I'm not the only one either.
simply put, a 2JZ will NOT fit into the engine bay transversely, it's just too long.
Your only option is to make the car RWD if you really wanted to go that route.
Just a hunch, but I'm guessing you didn't get a AWD Celica. That would have made it slightly easier.
He wants to know what he should do to his car mod wise.
Don't waste time with a boost controller yet. Installing separate downpipes off of the turbos, replacing the stock T pipe, will increase your flow HUGE. With that alone, the motor should boost almost to boost cut.
