you could have a leaking hose in behind the motor that is spraying to that side hitting the exhaust. It may leak only under pressure, but will split eventually if it is a hose. Normally though, it will leave tell-tale signs... look at your exhaust pipe to see if it has residue on it from burning...
The only problem with hood struts are (old, new.. w/e) is that you have to be really keen on NOT trying to pull the hood down accidentally (which I did once on a fiberglass hood and it weren't pretty). Especially if you pin it, never forget its up there to stay.. lol.
I was considering making a...

I stayed 7M and am happy.. only shooting for 500'ish... but looking forward to watching your build. I just tell people I have a stroker 2j when they ask... lol. 7M out-torques.
Car is in... Almost 2 months now in shop.
Because the T4 turbo is bigger we had little issues and decisions to make. Decided to go with a turbo blanket. Not sure if this is a wise move but I'm guessing the heat factor will be worse than a ct26... Also building a heat sheild for the AC lines and...
My insurance for that car is 7 bucks a month but I can't drive more than 4000 km per year.
There is limitations and it varies, but it covers appraised value + a set amount for parts.
This car was worth less than 5400.00 so it didn't need an appraisal.
The bumper folded up and pushed the gas tank in towards the diff. Didn't crease it though. But he hit the car hard enough to push it 1.5 car lengths. Shot my son's (in the pass seat) cap into the windshield and it bounced back and beaned him in the face.
Definitely going to be a bit of...
My son waxed the 1987 MK3 today... (he put a kick ass stereo and sub into it yesterday) and then he took it for a drive.
Was planning on selling him the car.. now I guess I gotta find him a new one.. lol.
GMC 1500 truck with a non-attentive driver didn't like the car.
Love this car. Wish I could see it in person.. lol. These are so rare its amazing.
and when you say stable.. you actually have one. lol. I have an alley, one garage parking area... and front street.. My stable is usually full but it don't take much. :)
Reading it in the quote like that, It wasn't exactly what I meant to say.. lol. To shift those shift ranges is to drive it like its stolen. And now that I think of it, I can't remember when I shift, but normally its between the 3500 - 4500 RPM range I believe. Shifting at redline all the time...
Rock auto is a bit less plus they have the 5% off. Think my Master/Slave for the 87 mk3 cost me 85.00 shipped.
Should do slave with master.
I really have to plan to do a oil filter relocate on mine. I keep wanting to and forgetting...
How were the seals?
My engine was smoking at start as well, but when I took the turbo off oil literally ran out if the exhaust ports. Ended up replacing the entire 7m shortblock because it was a sign that the rebuilder didn't do it right.
They didn't clip the seals down so they were riding the...
^^ What Dirgle posted.
Ignore the Shifter mashing comments.
The reason I will take this post seriously is because I just taught my son to drive in my 88 turbo Supra and gave him my 87 NA Supra as his first car. Yes... its a stupid question, but in actuality there are a LOT of kids out there...
