Need to plug coolant return located between first 2 runner on intake manifold

I capped the stock fitting with a ribber cap, installed it with a hose clamp, and applied thread sealant, then torqued it down. No leaks after doing a pressure test and running it for the past two days. Van

Nick, It starts and runs normally, with the ISC connected. :icon_roll The mechanic at Auto Electric Specialties gave it a base ignition tune. Now it's off to the Dyno for fine tuning and some numbers! Van

    no spark

Supra stared up, by stepping on the foot feed, while cranking. Nothing else was done to the car since my last post. Now on to getting it tuned. Thanks! Van

Cajunkenny, What am I trying to do by wiggling wires? Thanks for the tip... I notice a little oil in the CPS near the bottom pick-up. I plan to buy another O ring for it. Will that oil cause ignition problems? Van

Thanks for that. I'll have a go tomorrow. I forgot to add, a new set of copper NGK plugs, Toyota GTE plug wires, a new stock FPR, FPU VSV and a fuel damper. I don't know if that means anything... :dunno: I'm so, in over my head! There's one more thing to add; I'm using washers on those...

No. I'm just turning the key... So, smelling fuel after three attempted starts (w/ten seconds off between attempts), is that a sign of something else wrong? Will I be able to pull codes yet? Thanks. Van ---------- Post added at 02:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:50 PM ----------...

The IGN 7.5 amp fuse was intact. I tried to restart, but no go. It's time to take it to a mechanic...:3d_frown: Van

    no spark

This afternoon, I found the 7.5 amp IGN fuse blown, replaced it and still no start, but I now have all the dash lights, including the MIL. Here is what I did today: set base timing as per TSRM. The Supra started to start but all it did was turn over. I stopped cranking, waited count of ten...

I'm about to go step-by-step through the troubleshooting process set out in the TSRM, plus what JJ stated in an earlier post. To the OP: I have a no spark problem too. What did you do to get your Supra to start? Thanks. Van :1zhelp:

    Race Ready 7M

Thanks, Dave. I got it all sorted, after I correctly connected the ground wires from the ECU to the intake runners, and off the battery posiitive pole on the starter. My ECU is toast, so now I'm in the market for another ECU. This time I'll even take a stock one, just to get it running again. Van

    Where do these attach to?

JetJock and members, The last time I saw the check engine light on, was when I had the ground wires attached to the starter magnetic switch, along with the battery positive cable. Even then, all it did was glow. Last night there was no light at all in any position of the ignition switch...

    Where do these attach to?

JetJock, The check engine light doesn't come on with the key in ignition, at either on or start. :3d_frown: What could that mean? Van

    Where do these attach to?

Hi JetJock, Yes! Does my Mother In Law ever... LOL I assume you're referring to the so called check engine light? If so, I can't recall. I'll need to go out to the shop this evening to see. Thanks, JJ. Van

    Where do these attach to?

Brother! Those wires were connected to the battery positive pole of the starter when I tried to start the car last Saturday. It also caused the fuel pump relay to chatter and buzz. I disconnected those wires last week after another forum member suggested I had those wires connected wrongly. So...

    Where do these attach to?

These wires are under the intake runners and I have no idea where they attach, or even their purpose. Thanks. Van

Where do i get a Cold Air Intake

Hi, K&N sold an drop-in air filter, for the stock box that worked well, with noticeably improved throttle response. When I exceeded the flow capacity of the stock air box (after going 50 trim CT26), I choose to purchase an Cold Air Intake tube from Spectre Performance, that I purchased through...
