i have heard that most drag racers dont use squirters since they only run a quarter mile adn that they really only become necessary in high endurance races. i'd say high boost for several minutes.
any chance you have a na-turbo conversion with a 4.11:1 diff? the numbers sound about right for that. not a stock turbo diff car with your boost level though, unless the track is downhill. or the car is gutted. anything is possible, although very rare.
if your gauge is not reading than the plug is undone or more likely the vacuum line is loose. i would suggest turning your screw all the way in on your afm since you didnt say anything about a fuel pump or an afpr.
i drove from mississippi to arizona and back and then to texas and around texas with one but it was not a bad rod knock. it was like only at idle if there was not enough oil and above 2500 rpm. try 20 weight oil and or oil treatment if its not too bad. im not condoning driving it, but if...
there is no sensor that tells you when you're pads are low. there is only a sensor for the e-brake handle and the fluid level in the brake master cylinder. if your pads get low enough, the level will go down causing this light to come on.
do i stand corrected?
turbine seal
take off the exhaust
start the car
wait for oil to leak out the back of turbo
compressor seal
check for oil in bottom of turbo, intercooler pipes(provided you dont still have the pcv hose connected)
mine smokes the same way and i am pretty sure its the turbo seals
dyno with a wideband so you will have some reference point FOR YOUR CAR to which you can correlate your egt's.
edit: i'm not saying it wouldn't hurt to ask, but at some point a wideband dyno is necessary IMO.
ALSO, to adequately answer this thread's question would require the writing of a short essay. If i were YOU i would stick to the 7mgte. personally, i do not like the handling of the supra to invest the money required to swap a 2jz. i would rather turbo an sc300.
*insert flame here*
well no lexus came with a 2jzgte but toyota's of the same body style in japan did. (i. e. the Aristo; a gs300) im not saying their good for swaps, just that they exist, ( I KNOW, YOU NEVER SAID THEY DID'NT.)
he was going to have to pay the impound fee anyway.
so why not you own it instead of letting the impound lot profit from it. i freaking HATE HATE HATE impound lots!!
P.S. i would keep as a daily driver. or just to autox sometimes.
PUT IN A BATTERY AND MOVE THE SEAT
the engine harness is removable without removing the battery cables. there is a section that goes to that side of the engine bay that is unplugged right under the igniter. i listened to my radio while i rebuilt my engine with the harness still...
