Well back to the sensor auto shifts fine just no speedo. I'm guesing if anyone has done this it must be a speedo swap for an electrical one humm dono. anyone done this?Use the 1j auto and still get speedo to work?

I just finished my 1j soarer auto, it is not as bad as people say if you are a do it your selfer. You just end up with alot of wires you do not use , and I would be glad to share all wire info you need. But I still have'nt figured how to have 4th gear and speedometer Cable/sensor. Know matter...

Okay I kind of thought that when I swaped out the sensor for my cable that it would'nt be that simple. Damn the speedo cable is spot on to. Thanks

I am using the 1j auto. It does shift form 1st to 2nd to 3rd normally and when I punchit it, it does'nt shift till about 5,000 rpm for each gear. Is what you are saying that I either get correct speed with my cable or no speed but 4th gear by putting the sensor back? any way to trick it?

So me thinks I have everything hooked up right , car drives and shifts great except when i push the overdrive button to go into 4 gear it won't stay in 4 it switches from 3to4 to3 to4 to3 to4 till I push the od button back in and then in 3rd at about 60mph I'm running a little above 3 grand.no...

How does the safc2 hookin to your harness, and what does it do for a stock 1j,with 3in exaust. How much does it change the performance i guess that is what I'am asking.

Well it is finnaly done. all the wiring and what nots, sounds sweet. even charged the ac works good. I used a 7mgte tach it does'nt seem to be off. I mean it idls at 550 -700. i'll get pics up soon. Joos you know I had to rap the harness with the orange f4 tape I could'nt resist.

Exhaust looks great! Your a better welder than i am. I finnally finished tucking every thing away the car is complete now just waiting on tags. pics soon.

Thanks abunch. This one is the one the motor came with, but I have heard that the 2j will work. I didn't replace it is in great shape.
